Customer Rating: Summary: I like it Comment: I usually loathe vampire-themed comics but surprisingly I've been diggin' Vassalord. The artwork is what initially sparked my interest - it's so pretty. I'm seriously in love with Rayflo's character design :3 The plot is interesting, too. Charley or "Cherry" is a cyborg vampire hit-man. Rayflo, otherwise known as "Master", is a fellow vampire, and Cherry's food source. The comic basically follows Cherry who does the Vatican's dirty work with Rayflo tagging along. The action scenes are top-notch, though the perspectives sometimes make scenes confusing. There is a bit of humor even with all the gore. Cherry's and Rayflo's relationship is well, interesting.. Vassalord doesn't necessarily qualify as Yaoi, yet, at this point in the series, it's shounen-ai at best. Although, some may say that two vampires sucking on each other should qualify.
Overall if you're into vampires, action, and comedy, you'd probably like Vassalord.
Customer Rating: Summary: Love it Comment: A very well written vampire yaoi and what's more, there's more to come! The story has action, humor and of course, yaoi. The artwork is geat as well which is another plus.
Customer Rating: Summary: Has Action and Comedy Comment: My first impression was that I liked it. Charlie is technically a hit-man that kills vampires, though he himself is one. His food source is Rayflo, another vampire. I am also not sure where Raylfo gets his. If it's from people he attacks wouldn't Charlie have an obligation to kill Rayflo? I liked the action, though it's hard to follow the fight scenes.
Also, I don't think can qualify as yaoi, as of yet, if you're hesitant to get this because of any indication it may be. There is no male-male interaction of any graphic nature in this volume, though some may say two vamps sucking on each other should qualify. If you've read what truly qualifies as yaoi you know what I mean by graphic nature.
Overall if you're into the vampire genre, with a comedic moments, you should like this one.
Customer Rating: Summary: Funny and worth reading!!! Comment: Honestly, initially i wasnot sure whether i should buy it in the first place though i have seen the anime Peace maker. Could Vassalord be consider as yaoi? i seldom buy yaoi manga with the exception of seeing anime fake and gravitation. This manga is certainly worth the buy and has good story line and art work!!! Im sure to look out for the next volume!
Customer Rating: Summary: A Guilty Pleasure Comment: This is as far deviated from Nanae Chrono's Peace Maker series as you could imagine. It was the mangaka's name attached to it that made me look twice, plus it's a vampire story....what's not to like. Then once I saw some of the artwork I had to order it. That said, Vassalord is like a guilty pleasure to me. I'm not sure how much substance it will have, but it has a LOT of style. It's certainly worth a look. I'll definitely be ordering volume 2.
