2010 B Movie Celebration Golden Cob Awards Nominee Brooke Lewis Our friend in horror, Brooke Lewis, has been nominated in 2 categories: BEST RISING B ACTRESS for her work in Slime City Massacre and BEST SCREAM QUEEN 2009. We are very proud of Brooke for her nominations, and she deserves to win. Not only is she one of the most hard working people we have ever met, but she if very talented at what she does... and she is friggin' hot to boot! She was shocked and elated to find out that she had been nominated opposite some incredible indie peers, as well as actresses from HALLOWEEN, FRIDAY THE 13TH and LAND OF THE LOST!

Brooke Lewis was chosen as BEST SCREAM QUEEN 2009. Here is a quote directly from the winner:

"I am honored and elated to announce that after being nominated for 2 B MOVIE GOLDEN COB AWARDS 2010 a few months back, I was just informed that I won the incredible title of BEST SCREAM QUEEN 2009."

The Frightmaster here once again. As I mentioned in a previous post, I love Horror Movies. I spend hours and hours in The Frightmaster's Lair sitting and watching tons of great horror movies. So many so, my lair has now been turned into The Frightmaster's Horror Theater. Got some video games in there as well, for more mindless fun in the evening.

At any rate... If you are like me, you are always on the hunt for movies that you have yet to see. Several months ago... I and my legions compiled a list of horror movies that I like to call The Frightmaster's Favorite Horror Movies . This is not a list of all horror films that have ever been made, just a list of a bunch of my favorites. The list has now been updated with some new movies that I have rencently seen and that have recently become some of my favs.

Along with new movies being added, each movie is now linked to our friends over at buried.com, where you can read detailed info about the films. This Horror Movies section is a pretty cool new section created by our friends over at Buried.com , so I thought I should tell someone. More horror movies will be added soon!

I am also sure that you are aware of all of them. I thought I would mention one that hits theaters on April 30th. Of course, I am referring to A Nightmare On Elm Street.

Most people remember the original film and it put a little fright into us all. While it certainly is not most people's favorite of the horror classics from the 80's, it is still widely revered as just that.. a horror classic. Of course, it suffered from sequel burnout as most movie series do, but the original still remains in alot of horror fans top 10 horror movies. How well will the remake go over? It is hard to say when you handle the classics... it is damn near impossible to eclipse the original.

Here is the skinny on the A Nightmare On Elm Street Remake:

A group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another... but when they sleep, there is no escape.

Donning Freddy's trademark fedora, red-and-green striped sweater, and four-bladed glove is Academy Award nominee Jackie Earle Haley. The film is being directed by award-winning music video and commercial director Samuel Bayer, marking his feature film debut.
